Creating an online pet memorial: what to include

A practical outline for writing and sharing a lasting digital tribute.

Include the pet’s name, dates if known, species or breed, a favourite photograph and a story written in your own voice. Specific memories are more affecting than a formal biography.

Consider who may view the page and whether condolences should be enabled. Ask permission before adding identifiable stories about other people.

Share the memorial with a short personal note. You can continue adding memories over time; it does not need to be finished in one sitting.
